According to Variety, Relativity Studios, which has been struggling to cover debts, announced Tuesday that it would postpone the release of Masterminds from August 19 to October 9. The rescheduling is an effort “to allow the company to focus on its recapitalization and give this film the proper attention and support it deserves,” according to a statement from Relativity. The company has high hopes for Masterminds, a comedy about a night guard at an armored car company who tries to pull off one of the biggest bank heists in U.S. history. The film is directed by Jared Hess, and stars Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis and Jason Sudeikis. What a bummer, huh? But on the bright side, we now get two new Wiig-movies in October, with The Martian opening on October 2. Always something, right?
