‘Despicable Me 2’ earns $143 million in five days!

Fantastic news, everyone! Despicable Me 2 did even better than its predecessor, topping weekend box office with a $83,5 million debut and $143 million for the five-day holiday. On Wednesday, the sequel had the highest opening day ever for an animated feature (behind the Friday opening of Toy Story 3 and Shrek the Third) and marked the highest Wednesday opening of all time for Universal. On Thursday, it had the second highest Thursday gross in history (behind Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen). With a budget of $76 million, the film has already made its money back three times, on its way to cross the worldwide $300 million mark this weekend. Those are quite remarkable numbers. Have you seen the film yet? If so, what did you think?
