Just as the title says, Friends with Kids is released in cinemas across the US today! The movie stars Adam Scott, Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd, Megan Fox and Edward Burns, and was written and directed by Jennifer Westfeldt. It’s been getting positive reviews from critics, with a 62% fresh rating on RottenTomatoes.com, and all of them giving Kristen’s performance two thumbs up (though complaining over the fact that she, along with Jon Hamm, is underused). Friends with Kid is a daring and poignant ensemble comedy about a close-knit circle of friends at that moment in life when children arrive and everything changes. The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends’ relationships and wonder if there’s a better way. They decide to have a kid together – and date other people.
