Film page, screen captures and clips from ‘Walk Hard’

For today’s film-update of Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, I have added a bit more stuff than usual. Not only do we now have the standard filmography page, movie screen captures and video clips from the movie – but also clips of Kristen doing press for the film, her singing live with John  C. Reilly during the “Cox Across America Tour” as well as new interviews in our press archive and screen captures of the DVD extras! The movie is actually quite good and Kristen is awesome in it. Love the line “I do believe in you. I just know you’re gonna fail.” She delivers that one completely deadpan and hilarious. Be sure to browse the site to see all the new additions!

Film page, screen captures and clips from ‘Pretty Bird’

For the third filmography update this week (we are on a roll!), I have added information, movie screen captures and video clips from Pretty Bird. This dark comedy had Kristen in the role of Mandy – a mother, secretary and (sort of) love interest to Billy Crudup’s character Curtis. While this movie is far from my favorite in Kristen’s filmography, she completely steals the few scenes she’s in. Her rant about why The Exorcist changed her life was a true highlight of the movie for me. Be sure to check out all the new stuff by clicking on the links or previews.

Film page, screen captures and clips from ‘Semi-Pro’

The filmography-updates continue today with coverage of Kristen Wiig’s role in the 2008 comedy Semi-Pro. The movie, starring Will Ferrell as Jackie Moon, had Kristen Wiig in a small – but very funny – role as a new bear handler (“I’ve been working with cats for like twelve years, so I’m very familiar with animals.”). A new film page has been added along with HD screen captures and a clip from the movie.

Melissa McCarthy would do anything Kristen wants

In a new interview with HitFix.com, Bridesmaids‘ Melissa McCarthy said she would be up for anything Kristen and co-writer Annie Mumolo come up with. ”I would do anything…if Kristen and Annie wrote something, if it was like on the back of a napkin and they wanted me to perform it in the backyard, I would do it,” said McCarthy, sitting down to discuss her upcoming comedy Identity Thief co-starring (Kristen’s two-time co-star) Jason Bateman. “But I’ll let those ladies decide that. But yeah, I would do anything with that group [Bridesmaids]. It was the greatest time.” Watch the interview at HitFix.com.

Film page, screen captures and clips from ‘Unaccompanied Minors’

The filmography was just updated with information, the gallery with screen captures and the video archive with a clip from Kristen Wiig’s very first film role in Unaccompanied Minors. In the 2006 movie, directed by Bridesmaids‘ Paul Feig, Kristen has a very small role as the “slutty mom” of one of the characters. She has one line in the film, which Feig refers to as “criminally under-used”. I think we all can agree with him, right?

Video clips of Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominations

I have added video clips of Kristen Wiig being nominated at the Primetime Emmy Awards and last year’s Golden Globe Awards. Unfortunately she didn’t win any of them (can’t believe she never received an Emmy for her work on Saturday Night Live) but it’s an honor to be nominated, right? Watch the clips (more coming soon) in the video archive by clicking on the previews below.

Kristen on Rolling Stone’s 50 Funniest People list

Rolling Stone magazine announced their list of The 50 Funniest People Now, and naturally Kristen Wiig is on it. Coming it at number 10, beaten only by the likes of Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Bill Hader and Louis C.K. to name some of them, this is what the magazine had to say about Wiig’s undeniable talent:

There was Betty Boop. And Rosalind Russell. And Lucille Ball. And now, Kristen Wiig. She’s an old-fashioned screwball comedienne, a master of woman-on-the-verge-of-a-nervous-breakdown madcap. But she’s also a definitively 21st century talent, a sketch comedy genius whose indelible Saturday Night Live impressions (Judy Garland, Nancy Pelosi, Taylor swift) and creations (the Target Lady, the folk singer Kat) mark her as one of show’s greatest performers. And as Bridesmaids proved, she can command the big screen like a proper movie star, and write a pitch-perfect script.
