On March 21, Kristen Wiig and Steve Carrell were interviewed by the Australian talk show The Project. They talked about lending their voices to characters in the upcoming Despicable Me 2 and Carrell confirmed that Kristen is, indeed, playing his Anchorman character Brick’s wife. Kristen Wiig set to present at Kids’ Choice Awards
The list of presenters for this year’s Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards were unveiled yesterday, with Kristen Wiig being on it! Other stars set to present include Sandra Bullock, Steve Carell, Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Pine, Jaden Smith, Lucy Hale, Kaley Cuoco and many more. This year’s host is actor Josh Duhamel. The awards show will take place this Saturday in Los Angeles. We will update with photos and video as soon as we can!
Kristen Wiig to join ‘Welcome to Me’
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kristen Wiig is in talks to reteam with her Anchorman 2 cohorts Will Ferrell and Adam McKay on the indie comedy Welcome to Me. Kristen, who is shooting the McKay-helmed Anchorman: The Legend Continues opposite Ferrell, is eyeing the lead in the film that will be directed by McKay’s wife Shira Piven (Fully Loaded). Eliot Laurence, a former staff writer on Oxygen’s The Big Gay Sketch Show, wrote the screenplay about a woman with dissociative personality disorder who wins the lottery and decides to spend her winnings on a cable access talk show about her life. This sounds like a very interesting movie and a great opportunity for Kristen to further showcase her fantastic acting talent. What do you think of Kristen’s involvement on Welcome to Me?
