‘Revenge for Jolly!’ coming to DVD on May 7
According to several movie-sites, Revenge for Jolly! is set to be released straight-to-DVD on May 7 in The US. As some of you might know, Kristen Wiig has a small cameo role in the dark comedy that had its world premiere at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Retail price will be around $22.99, no word on extra material has been mentioned so far. Revenge for Jolly! is the story of Harry, who is having a very, very bad day. He returns home from an all-night drinking binge with his cousin Cecil to discover that his little dog Jolly—Harry’s one true love and the source of light in his dark, solitary life—has been murdered. Brokenhearted and beyond consolation, he vows to track down the dog’s murderer at any cost. Armed with a stockpile of firepower in the trunk of his car, he and Cecil embark on a frenzied, alcohol-fueled wild-goose chase, leaving a bloody path of destruction in their wake.

Pictures from Kristen Wiig’s theater work
Another fun update today! I have added pictures from a lot of the stage productions Kristen Wiig has been a part of; from her work on The Groundlings and live reading at Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words, to productions such as Saturday Night Live On Strike and the Cox Across America Tour. While this part of the gallery is far from finished, it is a decent start. If you have more pictures and/or can identify the photos in the miscellaneous-section of The Groundlings, please share!

Film page, screen captures and clips from ‘The Brothers Solomon’
As the final page to be added to Kristen’s filmography, information about The Brothers Solomon have been added. Not only that, but the photo gallery has been updated with movie + DVD extras screen captures & new production stills and the video archive has been given nine new The Brothers Solomon-related clips. This 2007 film is a silly comedy starring Will Arnett and Will Forte as the brothers, with Kristen Wiig as the surrogate mother to their baby. This is an unusual role for Kristen as she’s playing the straight-man role to the brothers wacky antics. It’s definitely worth a viewing and delivers some laughs.
This update actually provided us with quite a few milestone for this site; we now have information about all of Kristen’s feature films; the photo gallery now contains over 40,000 pictures including screen captures from all of her live-action movie roles; and our video archive houses 250 clips including clips from all of her movies! I really am so happy with KristenWiig.org, it’s always a pleasure to update and read what you have to say. Thank you for visiting and contributing to the site, everyone!
Kristen Wiig as SNL’s Sue on film set
Here’s a fun little quote from actress Sami Gayle, who stars with Kristen Wiig in the upcoming movie Hateship, Friendship. She told the New York Post that while they were filming, and a scene would end, “We would be quiet, and she would do the little awkward jiggly dance from when she played the Target Lady or Sue. It was hilarious.” Nice to hear Kristen continues to entertain with her fantastic Saturday Night Live-characters.

Meryl Streep wants ‘Anchorman 2′ cameo role
I know, I know, this is the sixth Anchorman: The Legend Continues update in a row. The news coming from the project are just so good! The latest piece is no exception. According to Steve Carrell, none other than Meryl Streep would want a cameo role in the sequel, saying “Meryl Streep told me she was a huge Anchorman fan and she’d love to have a cameo in the sequel. That could be really funny. There are going to be plenty of great cameos in this movie.” Kristen Wiig and Meryl Streep in the same movie?! Where do we sign the petition for this to actually happen?
Update: It’s unfortunately been confirmed that Meryl won’t appear in the movie. Steve Carrell told Access Hollywood that she won’t be able to fit the film into her schedule. “When I did ‘Hope Springs,’ [Meryl] mentioned she was a fan and she said, ‘Oh, I’d love to be in it.’ But that’s not gonna [happen] – that’s not a thing. She’s actually busy – she can’t do it.” Too bad! Thanks to Frederik of SimplyStreep.com for the heads up!
