Kristen Wiig Covers ELLE’s “Women in Comedy” Issue

Posted on June 7, 2016 and filed under Magazines, Photo Archive

Who ya gonna call? Kristen Wiig has landed one of the covers of ELLE Magazine’s July issue, which is also their first “Women in Comedy” special. Who else got their own covers, you might ask? Well, that would be Wiig’s fellow Ghostbusters – Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones! They were all interviewed by different people for their cover stories, and Kristen talked to her friend and frequent co-star Will Ferrell. A bit of their interview can be seen below (click here for the other’s stories), for the full story check out ELLE’s July issue on newsstands June 21.

Kristen Wiig on being terrified on SNL, interviewed by Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell: “So, Saturday Night Live. What was the first thing you got to do on the show? Was it all almost too enormous to be nervous?”

Kristen Wiig: “My very first show I got on something that I wrote. I was weirdly less nervous for that than I was for the first sketch I was in, which was about someone being pregnant in their butt. I think it was Poehler, and we had a baby shower for her and –”

WF: “God, that’s good.”

KW: “I was scared that I was going to freeze or swear or pass out.”
