Kristen Wiig to Star in Amazon Movie ‘Desired Moments’

Posted on September 23, 2015 and filed under Rumored Projects

A(nother) new movie is on the horizon for Kristen Wiig! According to Deadline, Amazon is completing negotiations to finance Desired Moments, a Griffin Creech-scripted film that has Kristen Wiig attached and prolific award winning commercials director Tom Kuntz set to direct with production to begin in January. Michael London is producing with Janice Williams through Groundswell Productions, and they are looking to lock the male lead quickly.

The movie is one of Amazon’s first, and is set to be distributed theatrically before becoming available on their streaming service. Desired Moments is a dark comedy about Joe, a midwestern TV station employee who becomes obsessed with a bizarre wish-granting service he discovers on the internet. It has elements of the magical realism found in films by the likes of Charlie Kaufman, Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry. More on this when available.
