Kristen Wiig confirmed for ‘Anchorman’ sequel!

After being the target of speculation for some time, it was announced by director Adam McKay last night that Kristen Wiig is officially on board for Anchorman: The Legend Continues! He wrote ”Kristen Wiig is officially on board for Anchorman 2. Couldn’t be more excited.” That message was followed by a Tweet by co-star Christina Applegate saying “So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for #anchorman2. Going 2 b best movie ever made. Besides the best movies ever made.” It has since been confirmed by every media outlet there is. Kristen will play the wife of Steve Carrell’s character Brick Tamland, no further details have been revealed. Anchorman: The Legend Continues is scheduled for release December 20, 2013.
