Better late than never, right? I have added HD screen captures and a (hilarious) clip of Kristen Wiig as the “Tanning Mom” from last Saturday’s episode of SNL. Kristen Wiig was one of the many celebrities attending the 2012 Costume Institute Gala in New York City last night. She looked stunning wearing a lace Stella McCartney dress! This year, themed “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations”, the gala showcased the work of iconic Italian fashion designers Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada. What do you think of Kristen’s look? The dark hair really suits her, don’t you think?

As previously mentioned, the second annual Comedy Awards air this Sunday on Comedy Central, so be sure to tune in to see Kristen Wiig accept several awards. One of them was for Comedy Screenplay which she accepted alongside Bridesmaids co-writer Annie Mumolo. The nominees have been announced for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards and to the surprise of no one, Bridesmaids and The Hunger Games lead the way with eight (!) apiece. The 2nd Annual Comedy Awards was held last night in New York City, and Bridesmaids was the big winner of the night! The event – celebrating comedy films and TV – awarded the film with Best Movie, Best Director for Paul Feig, Best Original Screenplay for Kristen Wiig & Annie Mumolo and Best Actress for Melissa McCarthy! Kristen was on hand to accept the awards, even fighting Annie over who should take home the trophy. 45 pictures have been added to our photo gallery. All Good Things is one of Kristen Wiig’s few pure drama films, but she does that just as good as comedy (in fact, she says she’s looking for more dramatic projects in the future). Here she plays Lauren Fleck, the colorful friend of Kirsten Dunst’s main character in a few brief but memorable scenes. Last  night Kristen Wiig attended the celebration of the people on Time magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2012. As previously reported, Kristen is featured on the list (so cool how Bridesmaids really made an impact) and was there to celebrate. She looked gorgeous in a Stella McCartney jumpsuit as she chatted with people such as SNL cast-members Seth Myers and Amy Poehler to Tilda Swinton and Harvey Weinstein. Once again, huge congrats to Kristen Wiig for the honor of being on the Time 100 list!

According to Deadline, Sean Penn is in talks to star in the remake The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which Ben Stiller will direct and star in as the title character. The story centers on Walter Mitty, a timid magazine photo manager who goes off on an escapade to find a missing negative. Sean Penn will play a photographer, in what has been described as a small but crucial role. Kristen Wiig, Patton Oswalt, Adam Scott, and Shirley MacLaine are also attached to star. Ben Stiller will direct from a screenplay by Steve Conrad. Filming is set to start later this month, although it isn’t clear when 20th Century Fox plans to release the movie.

As previously mentioned, the world premiere of Revenge for Jolly! was held last night during the Tribeca Film Festival. Kristen Wiig was in attendance to celebrate the premiere, looking absolutely beautiful walking down the red carpet. 48 pictures from the premiere and the after party have been added to our photo gallery.

In 2009, Kristen Wiig starred as Maggie Mayhem in Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut Whip It. The roller derby film also starred Ellen Page, Jimmy Fallon, Marcia Gay Harden, Juliette Lewis and many, many more. Despite it being the first try at directing by Drew, it’s actually a great, feel-good movie and Kristen does a great job in one of her more serious and mature roles to date.
