Last night, Kristen Wiig joined Jimmy Fallon on his second episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Or so we thought. Instead of Kristen, Harry Styles of One Direction appeared on stage! But not really. It’s always a blast watching Kristen and Jimmy together, and this show was no exception. Be sure to watch the clip in our video archive and the high-definition screen captures in the gallery!
As most of you might know, Jimmy Fallon is set to start his job at The Tonight Show next week, taking over after Jay Leno. Exciting, right? Well, as if that wasn’t enough, Kristen Wiig is scheduled to appear as a guest on his second night! Jerry Seinfeld and Lady GaGa will also join in on the show, set to air on Tuesday February 18th (next week)!
The final episode of The Spoils of Babylon, titled “Chapter 6: So Sweet the Bells”, aired last Thursday. It was another hilarious and eventful episode, a great way to end the show! Kristen delivered some brilliant moments (reacting to Winston’s plans, drinking wine on the beach and yelling “Devin” numerous times are just some of them!) and I will really miss
seeing her as Cynthia every week. What did you think of the final episode, and the show in general? Check out HD screen captures in our photo gallery!
According to The Wrap, the comedic quintet of Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and David Krumholtz will lead the voice cast of the raunchy animated movie Sausage Party along with Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton and Nick Kroll. Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan are directing the R-rated animated comedy for Sony Pictures and Annapurna Pictures. Rogen and Evan Goldberg wrote the script with Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir. Sausage Party follows one heroic piece of meat’s quest to discover the truth about his existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, the sausage protagonist teams up with some new friends to embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket and return to their aisles before the Fourth of July sale. The film is set to be released in 2015.
As the final episode of The Spoils of Babylon airs tonight, I have added HD screen captures from last week’s show to the photo gallery. It was the best one yet, actually, and featured some laugh-of-loud moments (what about the outrageously hilarious slap-fest with Jessica Alba?!) with Kristen’s character. Click on the previews below to see all the captures in high-definition, and be sure to tune in to IFC to watch the finale tonight!
The fourth chapter of The Spoils of Babylon – titled “The Rise of the Empire” – aired on Thursday, giving us even more hilarious moments with Kristen. One of my favorite ones were when she was talking to herself, while having company (who wondered who she’s talking to). If you haven’t watched the show yet you have to. Also, check out the HD screen captures from the latest episode in our photo gallery!
Great news, Wiigies – Kristen is gracing the pages of V Magazine’s Spring issue! She talks about her films currently in cinemas (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and Her) as well as her upcoming dramatic roles. Also, did we mention that she looks fantastic in the new photoshoot? Check out the magazine scans in our photo gallery and read the article in the press library!
“She may be one of the most-adored actresses in recent memory, but to get a true sense of just how concerned Kristen Wiig is with her rising celebrity status one only needs to visit her official website. While some of her famous counterparts chronicle their every waking moment in Chrome and live or die by likes, Wiig’s online destination features a curious illustration of the actress by her friend Jason Polan accompanied by a short bit of text: “Kristen Wiig is not on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, MySpace, or any other social networking website.” This isn’t a ruse. There is no secret alias account floating about. Wiig actually means it. In fact, over an hour-long coffee talk one realizes that for all of her fantastical characters, the woman herself is actually rather quiet and quite sincere.”
